tobel1853 is in Leutkirch in the Allgäu, Baden-Württemberg, just below Schloss Zeil. Address: Zum Brunnentobel 6, 88299 Leutkirch im Allgäu. From here you can quickly reach many destinations in the region: Wangen (15 km), Isny (20 km), Memmingen (30 km) and Lake Constance (45 km). The nearest train station is Leutkirch, with bus connections in our direction.
tobel1853 is a historic farmstead from 1853 where you will find holiday apartments and a bistro – but it is not a conventional hotel. Our six apartments are individually designed and fully equipped, so you can be self-sufficient. At the same time, we offer communal spaces like the Stubn, our shared living room. The bistro is open Friday to Sunday. A home away from home, with the freedom of an apartment and the charm of a special place.
For anyone who appreciates simplicity and values quality. Whether couples seeking peace, families with children, groups of friends or solo travellers – our six apartments accommodate 1 to 6 guests. Pets are welcome. We also open our doors for special occasions such as birthdays, team events or small weddings for up to 40 people.
The best of simplicity – that is our approach. tobel1853 combines history with clean design. The farmstead has been ecologically renovated, with natural materials and attention to detail. Here you will find premium bedding from Prolana, organic linen sheets from MOMM and a bistro with regional specialities. Not a concept, but a place with character – just below Schloss Zeil in the Allgäu.
Our spaces accommodate up to 40 people – ideal for birthdays, small weddings, corporate celebrations, team events or family gatherings. You can use the bistro, the garden with fire pit or the communal room. For events at tobel1853, we are happy to accompany you with suitable culinary offerings from our kitchen – tailored to the occasion and group size. Drop us a line for a no-obligation quote – together we will shape your special day.
The Allgäu offers plenty of possibilities: hiking on marked trails, cycling through gentle rolling hills, skiing in nearby ski areas in winter. Right here at tobel1853: yoga sessions or horse riding on request. For families there are farm visits, playgrounds and bathing lakes. Those interested in culture can visit Schloss Zeil, the old towns of Leutkirch and Wangen or the Farmhouse Museum Wolfegg.
In our own bistro we serve breakfast from Friday to Sunday, 8:30 to noon. We offer regional specialities from the Allgäu, freshly baked bread rolls and homemade cake. During the week, we offer pre-ordered breakfast baskets that we leave at your apartment door. So you can start your day at your own pace – relaxed and unhurried.
